Take as much salt out of your diet as possible. Fast foods, like most junk foods, are very salty. If you reduce your salt in your foods everyday, you might increase your awareness of the salty taste. Foods that aren’t good for your health are going to become too salty tasting suddenly. You won’t have as many cravings for them.
Foods high in zinc can facilitate recovery from illness. To avoid illnesses you can use zinc to help strengthen your immune system. Strawberries, peaches, pumpkin seeds, and wheat germ are all good sources of zinc. These foods also contain lots of antioxidants, which battle dangerous free radicals.
A good way to instill a healthy attitude about food is to put less emphasis on desserts. Do not offer dessert every night, and offer tasty fruit as a dessert as often as cake or ice cream.
